Aggressive Behavior of a Giant Cell Tumor Involving the Metacarpal Bone During Pregnancy: Case Report

gressive tumors that account for 4.0-9.5% of all primary bone neoplasms (1, 2). GCT predominates in the long tubular bones, but does, in rare cases, occur in the small bones of the hands and feet. Most GCT cases occur at the sacrum, with only very rare cases occurring during pregnancy (3, 4). We report a case of a GCT involving a metacarpal bone with rapid growth during pregnancy, which was misdiagnosed as a malignant bone tumor on plain radiographs.
